One Generation To Another

Dear Friends and Family,

This weekend on Saturday, Sept 13, I will be officiating my first-ever child dedication at The Rock Christian Fellowship. A first cousin (Anthony Arellano) of mine has asked me to dedicate his son, Estevan Arellano. I am also waiting to hear from another first cousin, who is a first-time grandma (Grandma Irene) on the dedication plans for her newborn grandson MJ.

When I consider my turbulent childhood and youth, its is a privilege that now I would be able to participate in linking a connection, inquire of the Lord a blessing on a child’s life/upbringing and most importantly, on the lives of future generations in my family. God is, truly good.

This is my legacy re-written.

Your prayers are deeply coveted.

The magnitude of the devastation in Lower Manhattan cannot be described. The obvious reference points for the news media have been the collapsed buildings, and indeed they should be, but debris from the combined 220 story towers literally traveled for blocks, crashing into other buildings, causing fires, smashing windows and facades, and crushing vehicles all along the way. The rubble appears endless, the fire damage impossible to comprehend. The images are totaly surreal; imagine the facade of one of the icons of the United States standing, partially intact, across the street from where that icon once stood. Everything looks fake, so much so that the destruction looks like the special effects from a very bad movie.
