Daniel came from a life of adolescent drug use, and he understands the harmful effects of juvenile incarceration. Daniel is grateful to have had adult mentors during those difficult years, people such as, Luther and Carmen Runge, who were volunteers at the New Mexico Boys School during his incarceration; Milo Garcia; a Probation Officer, who was instrumental in Daniel’s knowledge of a relationship with God, Jacob Mc Leroy; Chaplain of Springer, New Mexico Boys School, and Pastor Mike Suarez of Victory Home, were men who took part in Daniel’s discipleship and mentoring process. Daniel has remained in contact with these men as a adult and leader whom he attributes his resiliency from a life of juvenile delinquency, drugs, and further incarceration.
